It’s illegal to sell counterfeit items in Denmark, and therefore illegal to sell via Trendsales as well. End of discussion! We have a zero tolerance for trading counterfeit items, regardless if the seller is honest about the origin or not. And why is that?
- Manufacturers of counterfeit items are often associated with other crimes such as terrorism, drug trafficking, violation of human rights, etc. – which we do not wish to endorse.
- Counterfeit items are often produced under poor, unethical and unauthorized conditions, and the rights of staff members are often non-existent! If you do not wish to support child- or animal abuse, we urge you to keep far away from buying any counterfeits...
- If you cannot afford the real deal, spend your money on something else. You can buy a wide range of nice and beautiful items from manufacturers who do not make a living on ripping off the big fashion houses.
What do Trendsales do to avoid counterfeit items?
We have our very own corps of copy-specialists called moderators. The moderators consist of more than 70 men and women who go through all new listings in the Bazaar, every day of the year. Some of the moderators are specifically responsible for brands that are copied the most, and their in-depth knowledge about the brand and the items, makes them capable of closing listings that may look suspicious.
If a listing has slipped by our moderators, you can report it to our Support Team by using the "Report listing" link, located on the listing itself.
I bought a counterfeit item - what should I do?
If it looks like you have received a counterfeit or fake item, and you have paid via TSpay, you are automatically covered by our Trade safety. You just need to obtain a written statement from an authorized retailer or otherwise demonstrate that the product is a fake - e.g. by photo documentation.
You can create a case in the solution Centre, and follow the instructions. Our Support Team are standing by to help.
